About HRplus
The Team
HRplus consultants are located across Australia. Each consultant is tertiary qualified and holds senior membership in the Australian Human Resources Institute. All consultants have at least 10 year’s professional experience and specialised skills in HR practices. HRplus is managed by partners, Linda Norman and Jackie Gordon.
Jackie Gordon, Partner
Jackie has over 20 years’ experience in the discipline of human resources management, many of which have been spent in the printing and publishing , IT and Travel sectors. Recently her area of specialisation has been working with fast-growing SMEs moving into the next phase of their development.
Having graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology, Jackie completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PDM) at Wits Business School. She then joined Times Media Limited, one of South Africa’s major media groups, and worked her way up to the position of HR Manager. She moved into human resources’ management in the IT industry by joining Novell (South Africa) as HR Manager. She now specialises in consulting to companies and amongst others has worked with companies in the following sectors; IT, travel, private health insurance, e-commerce, health care, media, electricity and marketing. Jackie has a generalist background and consults on all facets of HR work – her experience covers the full range of human resource management on strategic, operational and individual levels.
Linda Norman, Partner
Linda has more than 20 years’ experience in the discipline of human resources management and industrial relations and apart from working with her own clients, manages a national team of HR consultants for HRplus.
She has worked and consulted in a professional capacity to a range of government, not-for-profit and private organisations across several industry sectors.
Linda graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Psychology and has completed a Masters of Commerce with Melbourne University. Prior to her consulting career, she held several senior HR, IR and change management roles with the Wesfarmers Group, the National Farmers’ Federation and the Australian Federal Police. Over more recent years, Linda has consulted to a wide range of small and large organisations including government, sporting, professional services, arts, manufacturing, construction, technology, rural and not-for-profit industries. Many of her clients are industry leaders.
Linda has a generalist background and consults to clients on a wide range of issues including strategic human resource management, risk management, HR cost management, industrial relations, conflict management, legislative compliance, change management, performance management, training and development, recruitment and career planning.
